Mondays: Teams on Steroids at Our HQ

Leading a growing team is a handful honestly especially if you are leading people who are majorly just having to experience the corporate workplace for the first time.

Mondays here at Win Realty and Win Group at large, we start the week with an intense workshop which comprises team members giving and defending their reports for the week earlier.

This strategy is what is working for us at the moment and I'll also encourage you to adopt it especially if you are building a global brand from scratch.

As the Chief Execution Officer of a growing team, I have to be fully involved in every report by the team members. I have to ask, correct, recommend, and of course penalize (painfully) where necessary.

What is this teaching me?

Teams Need Accountability

It'll be a foot in the wrong direction if you think your team members will begin to produce results on their own just because they were employed for the task. You will be amazed to learn the amount of irresponsibility that most new team members bring along them.

The more you hold them accountable on the strategy table, the more likely you will get them to produce at a great level.

Teams Are Tricky

If you choose to continuously lead your team as a pack rather than as individuals, you might lose touch and productivity will tank.

This is so true for young and growing systems. Our Monday Workshop sessions help to put a face on each office and allow me to step into their shoes.

Teams Need Direction

You'll be marveled at the level that a team needs leadership. Even the leaders still need top-tier leadership. Mondays give me those aha moments. Those reality checks are important on this journey of building a team that is ready to play globally.

In conclusion, as a leader, one thing I will always recommend is to never relent and don't joke with improving processes. Great processes leads to great teams which form amazing systems.
